The origins of the company date back to 1938 when the Ghirardis set up their own family-run business near the industrial town of Brescia. Now managed by the third generation, the business has been run for over seventy years with the love and dedication that only a natural passion can inspire.

Ghirardi launched out into large-scale production in the early sixties, and stepped up its production capacity accordingly, with the adoption of modern, cutting-edge marble-working technologies. Its range of action increased to take in Eastern and Western Europe, the United States and the Middle and Far East.

In the 1990s Ghirardi acquired additional high-value know-how and increased its workforce to include new highly-qualified engineers, architects and designers who put their skills to good use in engineering and work management.

The entry of the new generation marked the achievement of a very high standard of technological innovation based on total commitment. Not only plant and machinery were involved here, but also human resources, who are routinely trained and updated.

The synergy thus created put the company in a position to tackle new market challenges and provide a prompt and qualified solution to the numerous requirements of the stone market, enabling the company to become Italy’s leading stone contractor.
