Thanks to an integrated system of skills, Ghirardi is able to offer specialised stone contractor services for top-quality natural stone architectural and art projects.

The company works side by side with architects and both Italian and international customers, both in the first design consultation phases, with a preliminary evaluation and the choice of stones, and in the subsequent phases leading to the executive design.

Design consultation

Ghirardi works side by side with architects and customers from the design stage, with a preliminary evaluation of the architectural project and the design, with the aim of identifying the most suitable stone materials, both in terms of aesthetics and performance.

Specifically, the choice of materials includes selecting the colour of the stones and carrying out sampling, the study of surface finishes, analysing the weather or situational conditions and checking the physical-mechanical characteristics.

Executive design

After the design consultation, and before moving on the actual creation of the stone project , Ghirardi provides for the executives design: based on the results that arise from the design consultation, the preliminary evaluation and the customers’ wishes, detailed designs are prepared including the chosen stones, then the rendering, study, calculating the anchoring mechanics and the analysis of the most suitable installation methods shall be carried out.

In addition, Ghirardi also performs laboratory tests and CE certifications.

Innovative solutions

Innovative solutions and applications, such as the Jewel stones interiors, the ventilated walls and the lightweight stones; the special works and the patented systems characterise Ghirardi’s stone creations.
The integrated system of skills that brings together the craftsman-like knowledge (preserved and passed down since 1938) and innovation (pursued since the 90s) we can raise the aesthetic and performance standards of any work, thanks to innovative solutions, that are already used by Ghirardi or are specifically designed and created.

A specialised team to manage production and construction sites

As a stone contractor, Ghirardi has a specialised management team for production, construction sites and orders for even the most complex stone projects.

The team, composed of supervisors, project officers and technicians who are experts in natural stones, deals with executive assessment, stone materials sourcing and manufacturing planning, as well as with delivery according to the project’s needs manages the construction site, thus monitoring safety and the deadlines; it organises the on-site activities of technicians, installers and suppliers, whilst at the same time carrying out the bureaucratic, administrative and logistic procedures; it prepares the stones’ technical data, samples, manages tests and the final quality controls.

Stone material mining services

In addition to stone contractor services, Ghirardi offers services for the extraction of stone materials, such as resource research and control, evaluation of the mining potential of the quarries, according to the required supply, direct collection of samples, laboratory tests according to the specific regulations and verification of compliance with standard requirements.
The company also performs geological analysis, mining operations and actions for optimising mining activities.
